WCOE signs letter in support of Snowe/Landrieu amendment, S.Amdt. 3218

WCOE has joined other organizations in signing a letter toSenators and Representatives on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY2013 Conference Committee:

We are writing to ask you to keep the Snowe/Landrieu amendment, S.Amdt. 3218, adopted in the Senate version of the NDAA, which lifts the award caps that are currently imposed on the Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program.

Straight Talk: Taxing Job Creators Isn't the Answer

Small business owners are deeply concerned about the President’s insistence on raising taxes on them, especially since it does very little to solve the nation’s fiscal problems. Over the past week, more than 300 small business owners responded to our “Small Biz Open Mic” and overwhelmingly expressed strong opposition to the President’s plan to raise taxes on income over $250,000, which hits almost a million “pass though” businesses.

Straight Talk: Small Businesses Are Getting a Bad Deal

Congratulations to our nation’s small businesses. Small Business Saturday (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) was reportedly a growing success this year, as Americans showed their support by shopping at their favorite small, neighborhood shops. But it will take more than one day’s purchases to keep small businesses growing strong. And Congress still has work to do this year to create an environment where entrepreneurs and small firms can thrive free of excessive taxation and strangling debt.
