Straight Talk: Small Businesses Are Getting a Bad Deal

Congratulations to our nation’s small businesses. Small Business Saturday (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) was reportedly a growing success this year, as Americans showed their support by shopping at their favorite small, neighborhood shops. But it will take more than one day’s purchases to keep small businesses growing strong. And Congress still has work to do this year to create an environment where entrepreneurs and small firms can thrive free of excessive taxation and strangling debt.

Feds withholding required reports

Knowledgeable officials are expecting a regulatory tsunami after the election. By law, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is required to publish a report each April and October about new regulations that government agencies are considering. OMB failed to publish the April report. The question is why -- what is it hiding?
