NASBP Enters Strategic Partnership with WCOE

On December 14, the Women Construction Owners & Executives, USA (WCOE), a national association representing women owners and executives in the construction industry, and NASBP formalized an agreement to provide mutual assistance and support to improve the business environment for the construction industry through outreach and education.

But Jane Hilboldt, who heads Hilboldt Curtainwall, stuck it out in the male-dom- inated construction industry and said that in the six years since she and her husband, Denny, launched the business, she has gained much respect.

WCOE Member Receives Commendation Letter

Chicago attorney and WCOE member Michelle Kantor of McDonald Hopkins, has received a commendation letter from the South African Consulate General in Chicago, Ambassador Nomvume P. Magaqa, thanking her for "faith and commitment to the launching of the first-ever United States-South Africa Women's Business Forum in October, 2011.

Interview with WCOE member Jane Hilboldt

When the landmark main terminal was built at then-Lambert Field in the 1950s, Jane Hilboldt's father-in-law oversaw the window glazing as a manager for Stanley Hanks Glass Co.

Earlier this year, after a tornado blew out more than 300 of those panes of plate glass, Lambert officials accepted bids for the massive repair job. In the end, it selected Hilboldt Curtainwall Inc. — a company Jane and her husband, Denny, co-own.

Reno entrepreneur Vickie Frankovich will receive prestigious SBA Award

The Nevada District Office of SBA has just announced Vickie Frankovich as their “Women in Business Champion of the Year”. Frankovich is President of Building Solutions, Inc. with headquarters in Reno (NV) and offices in Sacramento and San Diego (CA). Her company is a general contracting firm specializing in industrial and commercial construction and specializes in Federal and Public Works construction contracts. Building Solutions, Inc. has completed over 130 projects during its 10 years of operation.

Rosana Privitera Biondo elected President of Construction Association

Rosie Privitera Biondo was installed as President of the Women Construction Owners & Executives, USA organization at the group’s annual Leadership Conference this month in Washington, DC. Rosie has served on the organization’s Executive Board since 2006 and succeeds Theresa Kern, President of MA Steel Erectors in Worth, IL.
